The NMRLS Executive Board approved a new Strategic Plan for 2005-2010. The Plan looks to the future with nine goals and ambitious objectives to enhance services to the patrons of NMRLS member libraries.
We need your help. We have taken a broad step in prioritizing by defining short-term objectives and longer term objectives. Now, we must look deeper and hear about your specific priorities. Your input will allow the Executive Board to set more specific timelines and fine tune the objectives to allow NMRLS to provide the right services to our 330 members in a way to addresses all types of library, academic, public, school, and special.
Please take a few minutes to review the nine goals in the Executive Summary of the Plan. We invite you to select the two goals of greatest interest to join us on November 16th in determining NMRLS future (see below). Our strategic planning facilitator, Alan Brickman , will lead an exercise to bring us closer to fruition by identifying your priorities and ideas on meeting the goals.
The iPod/MP3 Raffle will follow the meeting. Staff from member libraries who attend the meeting will be eligible to win one of two door prizes--an iPod or an MP3 player. You must be present to win.
