Co-sponsored by the Essex National Heritage Commission, Northeast Massachusetts Regional Library System, Northeast Document Conservation Center and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners

The workshop is designed to assist those responsible for local archives as they work together with others in their town and region to promote the preservation, support, and access to these unique and valuable resources.

In addition to a discussion of "best practices" for collaboration, presenters from the towns of Beverly and Peabody will discuss how they established working relationships amongst historical societies, libraries, historical commissions, municipal offices and churches, and the benefits each town experiences from these collaborations.
