Personnel Committee Recommendations - The Executive Board met in closed session with the Personnel Committee Chair after which the Executive Board voted unanimously to adopt the changes recommended by the Committee to salaries and benefits to bring compensation levels in balance with peer organizations and recognize changes in responsibilities resulting from the change in status of the Operations Manager on July 1, 2006.

Strategic Plan Implementation - Year One Recommendations - The Executive Board reviewed a copy of a new document, "NMRLS Strategic Plan: 2005-2010, Implementation Planning Priorities, Recommendation for Year One." Greg Pronevitz worked with the staff to draft this implementation plan with steps and a schedule for the items considered as the highest priority.

The following schedule was adopted to allow input for the Executive Board and NMRLS Committee members.

• April-May 2006 - Review and Comments from NMRLS Committees and Executive Board
• June 2006 - Executive Board Approval of Implementation Plan
• September 2006 - Quarterly Update to the Executive Board
• December 2006 - Quarterly Update to the Executive Board
• March 2007 - Quarterly Update and Annual Review and Look at Highest Priority Longer-Term Objectives to see if any have moved up for Year Two
• June 2007 - Executive Board approval of Implementation Plan for Year Two

Update on School Recertification - Susan Grabski reported that 42 school libraries have not returned their materials after two requests. These libraries will receive a third letter informing them that their membership will be removed at the April 11th Executive Board meeting if the appropriate documentation is not provided by that time. NMRLS received ten waiver requests that will be action items at the April meeting.
