The NMRLS Lifelong Access eXchange is an outcome of The Library Experience: Older Citizens grant. This web site is designed to promote the sharing of information resources by libraries to foster enhanced programming and services to active older adults: www.nmrls.org/tlx/index.shtml.
Lifelong Access is an initiative of Libraries for the Future (LFF), the program division of the Americans for Libraries Council (www.lff.org). Lifelong Access Libraries offer a new model for library services focused on baby boomers and older adults making the transition to active civic participation in retirement. The program transforms libraries into centers for lifelong learning and civic engagement.
This site contains information for your users on heath and wellness, travel and leisure, finances, employment, and community service opportunities. The site is maintained by NMRLS but relies on member contributions.
