The Oliver Wendell Holmes Library at Phillips Academy, Andover is pleased to announce that we have hired Michael Blake as our new Associate Director for Instructional Services. Michael brings to Andover his experience in many different library settings: Harvard University's Countway Library of Medicine and its Cabot Science Library, consortium libraries in hospitals and special libraries in consulting firms, as well as in public libraries. He also brings his abiding interests in dance and in the natural world. He is engaged in a long-term project compiling a bibliography on fly-fishing. It's a recreational as well as a scholarly interest. Working primarily in the world of the natural sciences, his focus has been on teaching students how to identify and to make effective use of resources and how to analyze opportunities for research. In his recent decade of work at Harvard's Cabot Science Library, he has helped many students find their way though the scientific literature. Michael looks forward to meeting and working with all members of the NMRLS community.
