NMRLS is looking for members with abolition collections who would be interested in joining together in a Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities (MFH) Planning and Development Exhibition Grant www.mfh.org/grants/grantypes/exhibit.html.

In the planning and development stage, we would identify participants (academic, public, and special libraries) and potential collections. The ultimate goal would be a traveling exhibit and (possibly) speaker events to coincide with the 225th anniversary of Commonwealth v. Jennison, the Massachusetts Supreme Court decision that declared slavery unconstitutional on July 8, 1783.
