Stumper for November:

What is a tunnery?

Answer: A place where liquor is put into barrels.
Source: Old English Dictionary. This is an obsolete term. The question came in through MassAnswers. The patron's library was closed and the patron did not have access to a dictionary with obsolete terms.

Gwendolyn Charter, Head of Reference at the Peabody Institute Library in Peabody, found the answer to this stumper in her OED. Thanks, Gwen.
