Congratulations to....

Our MSLA Standards Chairperson Valerie Diggs (Chelmsford School District) who has been named to the English Language Arts Curriculum Framework Review Panel. The Department of Education received 120 nominations, and the panel will consist of 33 members, including representatives from elementary, secondary, and higher education, the community, and business. "The panel will begin its work by reviewing the current framework, key documents and policy papers on literacy and English language arts, and summaries of survey responses and conversations with high school students about English language arts education."

We are very pleased to have Valerie representing the school library profession on this committee. Stay tuned for more as things develop. You too can have more involvement and an impact on school libraries in the Commonwealth. Best to all and a big thank you to Valerie for her willingness to be involved for all of us.
