"Me and My Shadow" Year Two Wrap-Up
Wednesday, January 30, 2008
12:30 - 3:30 PM
Lucius Beebe Memorial Library, Wakefield
Calling all Year Two "Me and My Shadow" Participants to a celebration of learning and networking on January 30!
"Me and My Shadow" is a staff exchange program, the brainchild of Liz Doucett (former assistant director at Lucius Beebe, now director at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick, ME), that won the The H.W. Wilson
Library Staff Development Grant. Assistant Directors' Forum members Laura Zalewski (Wakefield) and Giselle Stevens (Newburyport) organized the staff exchanges for Year Two of the program.
Since one of the objectives of "Me and My Shadow" is Job Rejuvenation - http://www.nmrls.org/news/oct06/shadow.shtml, the topic this year is stress reduction. Our guest speaker is Robert Rivest who will present a blend of movement and breathing to reenergize the body and relieve tension. Can't we all use that!?
Open to staff from any type library, "Me and My Shadow" is an opportunity to network with colleagues and to learn from them. Shadows are asked to go to their host library with a question and come back to their own with an answer or a new idea. Learn more about the Program at http://www.nmrls.org/news/oct06/shadow.shtml.
Read the experiences that staff had on their visits in the "Me and My Shadow" blog
