During these recent weeks of excessive snow and moisture, we have had reports of wet/water-damaged books received in Delivery. NMRLS has been working with Minute Man Transit to correct this problem. If you do receive some wet books, here are two links on air-drying books: the first from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon, the second from the NE Document Conservation Center, in Andover: http://www.pitt.edu/~olcpwg/wetbooks.html If your books are damaged so they cannot be salvaged, you may put in a claim request, which can be downloaded from NMRLS Delivery site: http://www.nmrls.org/delivery/claim.shtml.
