Program Planners Meeting:
The next Program Planners meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 13th, at 2:00, at Andover's Memorial Hall Library. Our topic: "The Best of Programs and the Worst of Programs." Let's learn from our disasters and share our best ideas for adult and intergenerational programming. Thank you to Norma Gammon for hosting the meeting. Directions to Andover Library are at http://www.mhl.org.
The Program Planners Group is a lively group of creative library staff who design and present library and community programming for adults and intergenerational audiences. The group meets four times a year to share resources and ideas.

Books, Blues, Brews & Barbecue
Tickets are now on sale for the Chelmsford Friends of the Library's annual fundraiser. This year's theme is "Books, Blues, Brews and Barbecue" and it takes place on Saturday night, April 24, 2004.
This years Friends' extravaganza will feature Blues artist, K.D. Bell, (AKA "Mr. Alabama Blues") as the musical entertainment, a down home barbecue with Louisiana Jambalaya, pulled pork sandwiches, marinated sliced sirloin, salads, vegetarian baked beans, and more. In addition, the Concorde Brewers will pour a selection of their micro-brews.
The $50 ticket ensures a hearty meal, good brew and rockin' music and the opportunity to support Chelmsford. Profits from the ticket sales will support the Friends of the Library and the town's 350th Birthday Celebration. Be sure to purchase your tickets early because NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AFTER April 15, (so the Friends can get a count for the caterer). Tickets may be purchased at the main library at 25 Boston Road or at the MacKay Library, 43 Newfield St. in North Chelmsford or by calling the library at 978-256-5521, ext. 100.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Chelmsford Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Visit the Library's website for more information on the Blues band, the brewery, and a peek at the menu.
