Free Trip to ALA
From the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
|
You could go to Washington, DC for the
2007 ALA Annual Conference, June 23-26!
Here's how it works:
The Gates Foundation will pay expenses (conference registration, airfare, hotel accommodations, meals) for three Massachusetts public librarians to attend the June 2007 annual conference of the American Library Association. As part of the trip, Massachusetts librarians selected to go to the conference will participate in a Gates-sponsored gathering on sustaining public access computing. After the conference, participants will be asked to share what was learned with other Massachusetts librarians (in MBLC Notes or regional newsletters).
Massachusetts Regional Library Systems will make the selection using the information you provide below. Preference will be given to librarians who have attended a Rural/Small Libraries Sustainability workshop and to librarians who have never attended an ALA conference.
Visit our web site at http://www.nmrls.org/ to download the application form.
Notification of selection will be made by March 31, 2007.
