Library Leadership Massachusetts LLMA (2007)

The second bi-annual Library Leadership Massachusetts Institute was held July 15-18 at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. Forty-nine participants and eight mentors from Commonwealth libraries of all types joined together under the guidance of facilitators Maureen Sullivan and Jack Siggins. Participants shared campus apartments, meals, and intensive discussion on leadership topics such as risk-taking, communication and negotiation skills, and collaborations for Massachusetts libraries.

As an outcome of the Institute, each agreed to make a one-year commitment to LLMA based on a Personal Action Agenda developed during the Institute. This will provide them with opportunities to practice and expand the leadership skills learned during the Institute.
