Financial Report: Greg Pronevitz provided an overview of the expenditure report that contained information from July 2002 to May 2003 and added that a small surplus of some $20,000.00 would be used for renewal of electronic databases.
Member Satisfaction Survey Results: Greg Pronevitz summarized the survey results. Respondents included 50 from public libraries, 29 from schools, 16 academic and 10 special/other. We were pleased to see that NMRLS customer service earned the top choice in the "very satisfied" ranking with 75 respondents making that choice. He said that there were no major problems identified and that NMRLS staff has followed up with respondents who were unsatisfied with services. Brian Archambault added that it was good to see that the services members were most satisfied with are the services that were also deemed most important.
Resignation from the Board: Greg Pronevitz announced that Tom Cesarz had resigned from the Executive Board. He is leaving the area and moving to Connecticut.
Board Development Committee: Doug Rendell, Chair, explained that this Committee is sponsoring the Leadership event being held later in the day. Also, in light of Tom Cesarz' resignation from the Board, the Committee will be looking for a board representative from an academic library.
Delivery Task Force: Doug Rendell informed the group that NMRLS had received 4 proposals for delivery service to the region. We are currently evaluating their merits and hope to have a decision soon. This new contract will be implemented on July 1, 2003.
Other Business: Susan Grabski informed the group that the Board meeting scheduled on June 18, 2003, will not take place as today's meeting will serve as the June meeting. The next meeting was set for Thursday, September 18, 2003, at 2:30 PM at the NMRLS office in Danvers.
