Based on recommendations from the NMRLS Reference Committee and a satisfactory bid from ProQuest, the provider of bigchalk eLibrary, NMRLS is in negotiations to renew this license.
Due to the budget cut NMRLS sustained earlier this year, we will not be able to renew our licenses for SIRS Discoverer or Researcher. We understand that there are some libraries that would have preferred a renewal of SIRS; however, the currency and wide range of eLibrary content were the most important deciding factors.

Newspapers
We are still evaluating proposals for providing newspapers and will inform the membership as soon as a decision is made. We are planning to provide newspaper content, e.g., Boston Globe and Boston Herald. Our current license with NewsBank expires on January 1, 2004.
