"I am glad the adoption story on p.9 of the recent (May) NMRLS newsletter had a happy ending. But I was surprised to see what the library staff member had done. Isn't it a violation of patron confidentiality to have told the young couple the woman's name? What if the older woman didn't want to be faced with her daughter whom she had given up for adoption decades ago?"
