The Committee on State Administration has rescheduled the public hearing for H.1199 "Restore the Core" library bond bill for June 16th at 11:00 a.m. in Hearing Room B-1 at the State House. This was a last minute change by the Committee. The hearing was originally scheduled for Monday, June 9th. If passed, this Bond Bill, which is sponsored by Representative Carol A. Donovan (Woburn) and Senator Susan C. Fargo (Wayland), would restore about $3 million in funding for library services that have been severely cut from the State Budget, for each of the next three years in areas such as telecommunications support for automated networks, delivery, journal article document delivery, and the virtual catalog project.
