2005 Statewide Summer Library Adventure Promotion

Special Events:

The 2005 Statewide Summer Library Adventure will begin in libraries across Massachusetts in late June. Among some of the events scheduled to kick it off are:

Monday, June 20, 2005, 6:00 pm
Connolly Branch of the Boston Public Library
433 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain
This event will feature a bilingual story time and then a Caribbean/Latin American concert done by Willie Sordillo and friends. One of our Media Sponsors Univision 27 - WUNI-Boston will be covering this event.

Tuesday, June 21, 2005, 3:00 pm
Waltham Public Library
735 Main Street, Waltham
This event will feature First Lady Ann Romney, Department of Education Commissioner David Driscoll, and a representative of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners who will announce the 2005 Statewide Summer Library Adventure and the importance of reading during the summer. Following the formal announcement, Mrs. Romney will read a story and a puppeteer will entertain area children.

Movie Theater Ads:

Two different ads will be used in movie theaters across the state during June and July of 2005 to promote the 2005 Statewide Summer Library Adventure.

"Pile on the excitement."
