FY2008 MARLS Material and Supply Cooperative Information Has Been Mailed to Participants

Instructions for the FY2008 cooperative were mailed to all participating libraries during the week of May 14, 2007. Information included Vendor Ordering Information, a Supply List, a Summary of Specifications Submitted to Vendors, and an explanation of Bid results. If you did not receive this information, please contact the NMRLS office at 888-326-7772 or email Lucie Gallagher at lucie@nmrls.org.

Did you miss the chance to register for the FY2008 Purchasing Cooperative? The next registration period will be in September 2007. You will need to complete and return a Participation and Pledge form. These can be found at http://www.nmrls.org/coops/index.shtml.

Please coordinate the submission of these forms among the staff members responsible for material acquisitions (books, dvd's, cd's, etc.) and those responsible for supply acquisitions (book jackets, tape, labels, etc.). It is understood that the amounts pledged for each year are subject to local and state appropriation and are not binding. Libraries should not commit their entire material and/or supply budget to the cooperative. Some funds should be reserved for spending elsewhere, i.e. "rush" orders to local bookstores or local supply vendors or for sole source purchases.
