NMRLS member libraries (and partners) won 18 prizes at the 2007 MLA PR Awards. We extend our congratulations to the talented and creative staff members who submitted their best PR materials.
The big winner was the McQuade Library at Merrimack College entry which was selected by the PR Committee as "Best in Show" in addition to first place in the category, Coordinated Advocacy Campaign. See related article: Library Spotlight.
Other first place recipients were Lucius Beebe Memorial Library (Wakefield) for Booklist and for News Coverage;
North of Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE) for Bookmark; Reading Public Library for Brochure and for Logo; and Wilmington Memorial Library for their Web Site entry.
Winners in other categories: Lucius Beebe Memorial Library second place for Bookmark, honorable mention for Brochure, second place for Event, and third place for Summer Reading Program; J.V. Fletcher Library (Westford) second place for Brochure; Ipswich Public Library second place for Community Reading Program; Hamilton-Wenham Public Library third place for Flier/Poster and second place for Logo (see News about Staff and Libraries); Everett Public Libraries third place for Logo and honorable mention for Web Site.
