Advocacy, Intellectual Freedom, and Roles for Public Library Trustees and Directors
Come to this NMRLS event to learn about the ways you can be an effective advocate for your library. There will be discussion of today's intellectual freedom issues -- the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA), the USA PATRIOT Act -- and an update on Massachusetts legislation related to parents' access to children's library records. Learn the role of the library trustee and director in dealing with each of these areas.
