The Executive Board met jointly with the Personnel Committee to review the Regional Administrator's recommendations regarding a maternity leave and a reinstatement request, and a compensation comparison study.
Andover Regional Reference and ILL Center Report: At the Board's request, Jim Sutton, Glenda Schaake, and Anna Kjoss provided the group with an overview of services provided to the region by both the Reference and ILL centers at Memorial Hall Library in Andover with regional funding from NMRLS.

Personnel Committee Recommendations
The Board approved recommendations from Personnel Committee to grant maternity leave and change the status of the Operations Manager position to a part-time position and adopt a new organizational chart on or about July 1, 2006.
The Board tabled a recommendation, pending further discussion, from the Personnel Committee to adopt changes to the salaries and benefits to bring compensation levels back in balance with peer organizations and recognize changes in responsibilities resulting from the change in status of the Operations Manager.
Strategic Planning Priorities
Greg Pronevitz explained that Board members who served on the Strategic Planning Committee met to discuss implementation planning priorities. The group set activities and priorities in three categories: Urgent, Important, and Useful. Those classified as Urgent shall be implemented in the first year. A discussion ensued and one correction was suggested. Under Objective 1.b., the objective should be changed to include all types of libraries vs. just school and public. The Board approved the recommended priorities.

Delivery Services
Barbara Lachance presented, on behalf of NOBLE Library Directors, a list of outstanding issues regarding delivery services. Greg Pronevitz reported that NMRLS will address these issues as quickly as possible.
