FY06 - FY07 Plan of Service for Youth Services
The NMRLS Youth Services Committee www.nmrls.org/about/committee.shtml#ya has been hard at work since the beginning of 2005 in creating the first ever Youth Services Plan of Service.
This Plan will provide a focus on the needs of member librarians in the Region who work with youth, birth through young adult. The Plan covers Fiscal Years 06 and 07. Come spring 2006, we will be aligned with other NMRLS Committees in creating a Plan of Service for FY08.
The Committee has worked diligently on this Plan and has brainstormed ideas to implement the objectives of the Plan.
Youth Services Survey:
The first activity is conducting a survey to communicate with our colleagues about the existence of this Committee, to identify outstanding and innovative programs, and to assess the needs of the member librarians. This survey was posted in late February with a deadline of March 10th. Results will be published in the next Newsletter.
