Second Annual Program Power Breakfast

The Second Annual Program Power Breakfast is an opportunity to meet with colleagues and brainstorm effective and creative ways to encourage children, teens, families, and adults to visit the library and to read throughout the year.

Our panel of outstanding NMRLS member librarians will share tips and techniques on the many aspects of planning, conducting, and evaluating programs for all ages.

The day begins with a catered brunch with plenty of time to network with your colleagues.

There is a small program fee.

Registration limit is 50.

Marketing the Library to Your Community: LSTA Grant

In April and May, NMRLS will offer a series of marketing trainings. These two-hour sessions will cover: Marketing 101, Public Relations, Promotions and Communications, Creating a Marketing Plan for Your Library, and Uncovering Your Library's Unique Brand. They will be taught by Susan Black Associates and NELINET.

Trainings will be open to all staff from any library type. They are made possible by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

Marketing 101 - Tuesday, April 24, 10:00 - 12:00
Public Relations - Tuesday, May 8, 10:00 - 12:00
Promotions and Communications - Tuesday, May 8, 1:00 - 3:00
Creating a Marketing Plan for Your Library - Monday, May 14, 10:00 - 12:00
Uncovering Your Unique brand - Wednesday, May 30, 10:00 - 12:00

NMRLS Inclement Weather Policy

Workshop cancellations due to inclement weather: If the public schools close in the city or town where a workshop is to be held, the workshop will be cancelled. A message will be placed on the NMRLS voicemail system, homepage, and listserv by 7:30 a.m. the morning of the workshop. If a workshop is cancelled before the date it was to be held, NMRLS will make every effort to contact the registered members.
