Finding Films about New England
There is an organization called Northeast Historic Film located in Bucksport, Maine.
Their goal is to collect, preserve, and make available to the public, film and videotape of interest to the people of northern New England.
Members of Northeast Historic Film are invited to borrow videos from the FREE circulating loan collection, Videos of Life in New England. There is never any charge for borrowing. There is just a $5 shipping charge for each batch of videos (1-3 tapes).
This seems like a unique lending situation. They are willing to lend to libraries or you can direct your patrons to them.
Here is a sample of what they have:
Earliest Massachusetts Films
Helen Nearing: Conscious Living/Conscious Dying
The Story of Wood in the Northeast
Alice's Restaurant
Desire under the Elms
Earth Medicine
