Special Libraries Meeting

The Special Libraries met on April 29, at ABIOMED http://www.abiomed.com in Danvers. NMRLS staff brought news from the region. Greg Pronevitz presented information on the NMRLS budget, the databases, and the member satisfaction survey. Scott Kehoe answered questions about MassCat and Mary Behrle updated participants on the progress of the LSTA grants. Greg asked those attending which NMRLS services special libraries most liked. The answers: continuing education, NewsBank, WorldCat, interlibrary loan, and the materials cooperative. Members shared news from their libraries.

Mary O'Connell, ABIOMED Librarian gave the group a tour of the company's research library. Ed Berger, Vice President for Strategic Planning and Policy, treated everyone to a visit through one of the ABIOMED artificial heart labs. Thank you both!
