Specials Libraries Meeting

The Special Libraries met on April 5, at Topsfield Historical Society. Members shared news of their libraries and NMRLS staff updated the group on current and proposed NMRLS grants that would interest special libraries.

There was a discussion of planning and funding town-wide archives centers.

Save the date! The next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 14. The place will be announced.

Reference Committee Meeting

The Reference Committee met on May 2 at the Lawrence Law Library. Recent database survey results on online encyclopedias and Spanish language were discussed. The Committee decided to have NMRLS staff poll the top users of the Grolier databases as one last step in getting the data they need for any decision-making. They are meeting again on July 13 at 2:00 at NMRLS.

Supplementary Deposit Collection Committee

The Committee meets next on Tuesday, May 24, at 10:00 at the Merrimac Public Library. Following the Committee meeting will be an Open House at 11:00 for the Supplementary Deposit Collection membership. A tour of the collection with updates will be the main features of the Open House. Invitations will be sent out soon.
