The Strategic Planning Committee www.nmrls.org/about/committee.shtml#spc has had three meetings. Working with our consultant, Alan Brickman, much has been accomplished.
- Surveyed members with 154 responses
- Surveyed library patrons with 650 responses
- Focus groups were attended by more than 60 individuals
- Interviewed eight library leaders
The Committee has two additional meetings scheduled in June and July. We will review a draft Strategic Plan 2006-2010 and an Environmental Scan document and outline the implementation needs for short-term objectives.
In the Fall the Plan will be available to the membership for comment prior to NMRLS Executive Board action to approve.
At the NMRLS Annual Meeting on November 16th at the Nevins Memorial Library in Methuen, our consultant will facilitate an exercise with member attendees to learn some of your priorities and ideas surrounding the Plan.
