For School and Public Libraries

Nominate a colleague for the YALSA/Greenwood Publishing Group “Service to Young Adults Achievement Award.” This $2,000 grant recognizes a YALSA member who has demonstrated unique and sustained devotion to young adult services through substantial work in any two or more of these initiatives:

  • The promotion of library services for young adults
  • Conducting and publishing research for young adults
  • Publication or presentation of knowledge or best practices relating to young adult literature or library services for young adults
  • Advocating for young adult literature or library services for young adults
  • Mentoring of other professionals in the field of young adult literature or library services
  • Notable efforts in furthering the mission of YALSA

The primary mission of the Amelia Peabody Foundation is to increase, through close collaboration with local agencies, the number, range, and depth of positive learning experiences available to materially disadvantaged young people living in the cities and towns of Massachusetts. Remaining deadlines for 2007 are August 2 and October 18. See the grant proposal form
