We are conducting two important surveys this month with specific targeted audiences. We apologize for running two surveys simultaneously; however, we need your input to make plans in a timely manner.
Library Director/Head Librarian Survey - Online
We recently sent an email to the library director/head librarian at each NMRLS library. In a School Library/Media Center this would be the designated representative to NMRLS. We are looking to hear from the director or someone designated by the director to evaluate services and NMRLS’ directions.
The survey is designed to gather input on your library’s satisfaction with NMRLS existing services such as continuing education, online databases, and delivery and to help us make decisions on ideas that were raised in our Strategic Plan. We have had suggestions for new services, some of which may be fee-based services. We need to hear from you about how important they are to your library before we decide which services to put on track for implementation.
Again, we request a response from the directors of all NMRLS libraries. Please help us by responding at your earliest convenience.
The deadline for response is June 1, 2007. The web-based survey is online at:

Delivery Materials Survey – Excel Spreadsheet
We recently sent an email to all library directors and delivery contacts in libraries on NMRLS’ Delivery Service. This email included an Excel Spreadsheet attachment. This survey was designed by the Delivery Committee to gather information about library purchases of supplies to protect items shipped in delivery. Your participation will help us identify the most frequently purchased supplies and their sources. NMRLS intends to select the most widely used supplies and attempt to negotiate advantageous pricing on behalf of the membership.
We invite those who purchase such supplies in member libraries on delivery to reply. Please visit our web site for complete instructions and to download the spreadsheet:

We ask all libraries to participate in the survey, even if you are not able to purchase these items due to cost. Group purchasing may result in certain items being an affordable option. All libraries will have the option to participate in future purchasing whether they presently use any of these items.
The Delivery Materials Survey deadline is June 1, 2007.
