Acceptance of the FY2003 Audited Financial Statements
(unanimously accepted):
The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners requires an annual audit of all regional library systems. Greg Pronevitz explained that this year's audit did not reveal any issues of concern.

Approval of the FY2003 Annual Report (unanimously approved):
Greg Pronevitz summarized the contents of the FY2003 Annual Report and asked the Board for comments or questions. The report is made up of Committee Chair reports and letters from the NMRLS President and NMRLS Regional Administrator. The Report will go to the membership prior to the Annual Council of Members Meeting on November 19, 2003.

Approval of the FY2005 Plan of Service & Budget (unanimously approved):
Greg Pronevitz summarized the contents of the FY2005 Plan of Service & Budget and asked the Board for comments or questions. This document will go to the membership prior to the Annual Council of Members Meeting.

Approval of the Slate of Candidates (unanimously approved):
Doug Rendell, Chair, presented the proposed slate of candidates for election to the Executive Board in November 2003. Doug noted that the officer positions of Secretary and Treasurer were vacant and asked the group if anyone would volunteer for these officer positions. Sue Ellen Holmes volunteered to be Secretary and Deb Froggatt agreed to be Treasurer. The Slate will go to the membership for consideration at the Annual Council of Members Meeting.

Annual Meeting Planning:
Greg Pronevitz discussed some details pertaining to this year's Annual Meeting. Last year we charged $6.00 for those wishing to attend who were not the Voting Delegate and/or sole representative from their member library. The Board agreed that the charge to help offset the cost of lunch should be half of the actual cost. This year's fee will be $7.50. The group also felt that creating a seating plan that places a Board Member and/or Committee Chair at each table, as was done last year, was a good idea. Board Members and Committee Chairs will have distinct name tags that will identify their respective roles. YSLead graduates and outgoing Board and Committee Chairs will also be honored at the meeting.
