The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is pleased to announce the availability of grant funds specifically targeted for the use of municipal libraries. Beginning in January 2004, the DCR will award grants of up to $5,000 to municipal libraries for projects that enhance their educational offerings in relation to urban and community forestry. A total of $40,000 will be awarded to communities of all sizes throughout the Commonwealth.
