Regional and Statewide Delivery Update

NMRLS Fall Delivery Survey

In the spring and fall, NMRLS conducts a survey of delivery volume. For the October survey, we will also be taking a look at turnaround time. Our contract with CD&L specifies 24-hour turnaround of items and we'd like to see how they're doing!

The survey will take place during the last week of October (October 27 - 31, 2003). Delivery participants will receive instructions regarding the survey the week prior to the 27th.

Statewide Delivery Reminder!

Every fall, the MA Regional Library Systems gain new members, and sometimes lose former ones. This means they have to update their courier delivery routes accordingly--and this fall has been no different. This is a friendly reminder that even if your library printed out the Cross State Delivery Directory (located at http://www.bpl.org/brls/delivery.htm) as recently as this summer, it will be advantageous to look online again. This way you will be sure the receiving libraries are still on the route, and you'll know just how to label the route slip.

If a library doesn't appear in the Directory, you will need to mail items to them via the US Postal Service. If you notice any corrections that need to be made to the Directory, please notify me via email.
