Are you shifted? Do you know what that means? It's a term being bandied about by bloggers like Joyce Velanza. She asks in a recent blog posting: "What happens when a librarian and a library program cannot even demonstrate awareness of the shifts in the information landscape?" She expresses her worry that if librarians don't head the leading edge of information presentation and retrieval, librarians become "irrelevant and optional".
