October 14 - Connecting Library Users to Electronic Content: Report of the MBLC Authentication Task Force
At this informational session, Paul Kissman, MBLC Library Information Systems Specialist, will present the Task Force's initial recommendations. Paul will discuss the statewide view of library user records, and the related concepts of a statewide library card program and electronic library card registration.

October 17 - Managing Difficult Patron Behaviors
Jonathan Metcalf, a licensed social worker from the Lahey Clinic Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, will present the broad diagnostic categories of mental illness and substance abuse and the behaviors/symptoms associated with them. Participants will learn useful interventions.
