LSTA Grant for Academic Libraries: LibQual+™ Survey
The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners will again offer LSTA Grant opportunities for academic institutions to implement the LibQual+ Survey. This outcome-based assessment tool was developed by the Association of Research Libraries http://www.libqual.org/
In order to be eligible, an academic library must have a long range plan on file at the MBLC. An updated Action Plan for FY 2007 must be submitted to MBLC by December 1, 2005. The libraries selected will receive grants of $3,000 to cover the cost of the survey and its implementation. Conservation Assessment Program for Museums
The Conservation Assessment Program is a cooperative project of Heritage Preservation and IMLS. The Program provides eligible museums with an overall general conservation assessment, provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Application materials and guidelines may be obtained at: www.heritagepreservation.org
The Program supports a two-day site visit by a conservation professional to perform the assessment and up to three days to write the report. More details are available on the IMLS site: www.imls.gov/grants/museum/mus_cap.asp
