As you know, we have had a new delivery service provider—CD&L of Boston—since July 1st. The past two months have been "exciting" as we moved from a longstanding service provider to a brand new one. The little fellow on the left represents the "rocky" transition period experienced by our participating libraries (those on Route 2 in particular) and, fortunately, after two months, the fellow on the right now prevails as service to our region has dramatically improved !

CD&L is running 4 delivery routes that have been "tweaked" several times to create smoother runs. To view the route structure, please visit http://www.nmrls.org/delivery/routes.shtml

Delivery Participants - please note the following new procedure: CD&L drivers are now required to get a signature on his/her manifest at time of delivery. The driver will fill in the following information that needs to be verified:

  1. the # of bins delivered
  2. the # of bins picked-up
  3. If applicable, the # of bins left behind
  4. The time of delivery
Please be sure to check the accuracy of this information and make corrections, if necessary, before signing. This is important so that, one, we will be able to monitor volume and, two, so that we can be certain that our billing is correct.

Once again, we thank all involved for their patience during this transition. Please continue to report issues and concerns about delivery services to either me or Lucie Gallagher.
