The IMLS Conservation Project Support program awards matching grants to help museums identify conservation needs and priorities and perform activities to ensure the safekeeping of their collections. Conservation Project Support grant applications for FY2004 funding must be postmarked no later than October 15, 2003. Take note of the NEW IMLS program - Museums for America -http://www.imls.gov/grants/museum/mus_mfa.htm. These grants focus on projects that strengthen services and activities museums provide to the public, including support of lifelong learning. The deadline is January 15, 2004.
