Looking forward to Fall ILL

The summer is winding down. Summer is usually a slow time for the ILL Centers partly because schools are on vacation and are not using the Centers and partly because other NMRLS member libraries may be on vacation.

With the coming of the Fall, we look forward to the return of the schools, students with projects, patrons with questions and ILL needs. This is a reminder to schools and all NMRLS members that the ILL Centers are accepting requests. For libraries that use the ILL Centers as NMRLS members we look forward to filling your requests. Request information is located at the ILL section on www.nmrls.org. Please contact us if you have questions, or would like us to talk to new staff at a site visit.

A special reminder that libraries in the MVLC or NOBLE networks can use the ILL Centers to fill requests that come back unfilled through the Virtual Catalog.

We also hope that libraries will promote the use of the ILL Centers at either the Reference or Circulation desk when patron can't find what they want in the locally. For NOBLE libraries there is a promotional brochure available at www.noblenet.org/ill.

As the colors change and the nights grow cooler we hope all libraries have an active and rewarding season.
