Budget Success!

Congratulations, and thanks to all who made the effort to contact Legislators this summer.

The override process was completed on all library line items in the state budget, so that funding for libraries in the FY07 Massachusetts state budget has been increased by $2.1million over last year's budget. Overrides included Line 7000-9506, Library Technology and Resource Sharing, the new Public Library Incentive Grant Program, and funding for the Talking Book Libraries. Overrides on funding for State Aid to Public Libraries and Regional Funding are complete.
