Update on Director Essentials Grant

Director Essentials is a collaborative of the regional library systems. This LSTA-funded project will produce a website to serve as a comprehensive resource for all Massachusetts Library Directors. The project will bring together content for public, academic, school, and special library directors, for both seasoned and new directors.

As the first year of the two-year project ends, the grant funded a Directors' Boot Camp, held in May at Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston. This month, the statewide grant advisory committee will meet to select a designer for the Director Essentials website from among contractors who responded to a RFP for web services.

The grant period ends September 30, 2009. Watch for more information as this process continues.
