NMRLS Database Connectivity Help Desk

The NMRLS office staff provides database connectivity support to members of the Northeast region for all statewide and regional office sponsored databases. If you have any questions about access to the databases, please call the NMRLS office at 888-326-7772; or email your question to info@nmrls.org.

  • This support is for library staff regarding the library's connectivity. It is NOT a general computer support help desk for you or your clientele.

    Contact NMRLS if you require assistance in the following situations:

    • You need help connecting or logging on once you are set up (perhaps you replaced a librarian who was familiar with this process; the dog ate your paperwork, etc.)
    • You don't remember your URL or password, if that is applicable.
    • Your IP addresses don't seem to work anymore.
    • Your IP addresses have been changed/deleted, or added.
    • You changed from static IP addresses to dynamic.
    • You changed from dynamic to static IP addresses.
    • You've added a firewall.
    • You've added a proxy server.
    • You've added a computer with Internet access through a commercial provider, while your other Internet computers that are already set up get their Internet access through your Massachusetts Automated Resource Sharing Network (MVLC or NOBLE)
    • You need help book marking the database URL.
    • You want to receive statistics for the Gale databases and never have requested to receive them, or the person receiving them has changed, or your email address has changed
    • You don't know if you've ever received statistics for the Gale databases and would like to.
    • You want to change, add, or remove the back to URL from the InfoTrac database welcome page.
    • Your library name is spelled wrong on the InfoTrac welcome page.
    • The computer tossed your cookies.
    • You don't remember the URL for remote access to the Gale databases for your region.
    • You DON'T KNOW if your library ever filled out a Database Access Workform.
    • You need to fill out a Database Access Workform but don't know where to find one (available at www.nmrls.org/reference/dbaccess.shtml).
