Third Annual Program Power Breakfast - April 4th
Though the day was dark, cold, and wet, participants and presenters made the day glow with networking, ideas, and fun!

Some comments from the evaluation include:
“What a great annual, delicious way to mingle and see such a wide range of librarians!”

“I always get great new ideas and re-inspired for the next year.”
“I loved getting at least one idea from each presentation, and I actually got many more than that. I feel revitalized and ready to make things more fun in my library using some of the ideas that I got from the presentations. ”
“Wow! Where to start?! There were several really good ideas–I got something from every presenter there, either for the Children’s Room, or to pass along to the adult and YA depts. I have already discussed some ideas I picked up with my assistant that we will incorporate in the summer reading program.”
“Several presenters gave me good ideas — especially the Scrabble Club, altered books and gaming.”

“It’s so nice to get out of the library and meet other librarians and share ideas…..also the breakfast was great!”
“Always informative to hear what other libraries are doing. The information session on displays was a good reminder to add color and objects to draw attention. I thought the Promoting Summer Reading using the slide show story was a creative way to captivate the audience and draw interest.”
“The breakfast was excellent! It was very interesting to see programs that are working in other libraries. I loved Clare & Crystals summer reading school visit and Sara Collins’ Wild ideas (I will try to use some of them). I think the way Linda Schreiber includes the teens in decision making about their decor & programming is awesome! I’d like to see more of that happen at my library.”
“There were some fabulous presentations this year! Wild Reads to the tune of Wild Thing, the monkey at the library, and the creative display ladies stand out as very entertaining and informative, but the rest of the (quieter) presentations were great, too. A good mix. Also a good mix of children’s, YA, and adult programming–often I’ll go to a program as a YA librarian and hear mostly good ideas for younger children.”
